Can you help us meet a match?
Generous people like you are the reason Walk-In is still here providing free, no-appointment, anonymous mental health and crisis counseling every weekday — since 1969. This time of year is critical for Walk-In — it’s when most of the donations of the year come in. We are lucky to have a $25,000 challenge grant for new donations and donation increases made by Dec. 31! Can you help us meet the match and fund our clinics? Please donate online here or with a check, stock gift, or donor-advised grant. Every small donation helps. Our tiny staff leverages the skill and dedication of over 100 volunteer professionals who provide free, no-appointment, anonymous counseling every weekday. Last year, nearly 1,700 people received counseling at Walk-In. Clients often come because they have no or poor insurance, need anonymity, or can’t wait weeks for an appointment.
Being able to walk in was crucial for “Irene,” who came to us recently after a painful divorce. Trying to care for two children in a new city, she was anxious, sleep-deprived, and barely holding things together. At Walk-In, a skilled and caring counselor listened deeply to her story and helped her think about her next steps. Irene left feeling more hopeful and less overwhelmed.
Thanks to you, our community, we can help people like Irene every day. Please make a donation today. If you have already donated, THANK YOU!
