Jessica Simpson joins Walk-In as Director of Clinical Supervision

Jessica Simpson, PhD, LMFT joined the Walk-In team on Monday, July 13, as Director of Clinical Supervision.

Jessica brings over a decade of experience in mental health settings, including experience as a supervisor, clinical trainer, and consultant. She holds a doctorate and is an AAMFT approved supervisor candidate, with a background in individual and group supervision of master’s-level students and post-graduate clinicians. Her approach to supervision is grounded in interpersonal neurobiology, the Multicultural Relational Perspective, and liberation psychology — frameworks that center cultural humility, justice, and the relational context in which clients and clinicians do their work. She has also provided training in trauma-informed approaches and Narrative Exposure Therapy in community and conference settings across the country.

Jessica will be building and leading Walk-In’s supervision of practice program — overseeing clinical supervision across our thirteen volunteer teams, formalizing our post-graduate supervision track, and supporting the development of volunteer supervisors. She will also contribute to our continuing education programming.
