  • Gary Schoener, MEq, has been elected for a one-year term as ethics co-chair of the Minnesota Counseling Association.

    Gary directs Walk-In’s Consultation & Training Institute, and maintains a private practice in forensic psychology. He has authored numerous articles and monographs regarding the conduct and ethics of professional mental health providers as well as mental health issues. He is one of the founders of Walk-In and served as executive director from 1973-2010.

    A licensed psychologist, Gary is well known for his expertise on professional misconduct, and is an internationally known expert on ethics and professional boundaries.

    A note for therapists: Gary is glad to provide consultation on ethical issues related to Walk-In or where you work. Just email him: grschoener@walkin.org Gary is also available to do in-service training on ethics & boundaries so if your place of work is interested, have them contact Gary.
